In the blossoming hip-hop hotbed of Central FL, Levi “Leegit” Hicks has arrived as the latest superstar out of Lakeland,FL. A graduate of Lakeland High School, Leegit gained local fame by dancing and rapping at local athletic events and talent showcases. A multitalented entertainer who can sing, rap and dance, Leegit has been paving his way to superstardom in his hometown for years.
Born in 1991, Leegit taught himself to rap in middle school after being challenged by a fellow student. Influenced by the styles of artists such as Kid Rock, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Outkast and Trick Daddy, Leegit soon developed a reputation for delivering jaw-dropping freestyles in Lakeland.
Recording his first songs in the Fall of 2004, Leegit went on to join a Trio called The Dime Boyz. By 2009, Leegit began recording solo records. During this time he released “So Hot” and “GameTime” and began to generate a legitimate buzz in the streets and online.
By 2012, Leegit’s buzz became undeniable. With singles like “Badd” & “Bend N’ Get It” getting the attention of both the radio and internet, Leegit began to become a hot commodity throughout the state of FL.
Leegit’s greatest strength though could be his ability to shine in front of the camera. Leegit’s videos have now surpassed 1 million hits on Youtube.
The success of his early street buzz and social media dominance has led to Leegit selling out shows across the state of Florida.
Now with a hot single produced by Ver$atyle Beatz entitled “Gyrate” Leegit is ready to take the industry/nation by storm with his forthcoming debut album “25/8” set to be released July 28th.
